“The Death Throes of Home” began as a textural study of synthesized charcoal. The lines are variable, exhibiting emergent behavior within each wave form. It is encouraged to look closely at the work to see how small details are built up to compose each line, fabricating a texture that feels close to the natural world. The final set of four works was chosen by Ben from a set of 100 candidate images generated by haskell code that he wrote.
