Description

Fragments of a forgotten civilization seem to emerge, and we try to piece together the life that once existed there.

Far from Earth, aboard a massive spacecraft, an entire society had developed its own way of living. There were schools, meetings, entertainment, work, friendships and everyday routines. Life was everywhere - but it was different. The ship was not simply a vehicle carrying its passengers through space. It had become their world.

What remains are fragments: distorted images, broken transmissions, traces of ordinary moments and glimpses of lives we can no longer fully reconstruct. Each fragment seems to reveal something, but never enough. We are left to fill in the gaps.

In the early world of video games and primitive digital displays, a few pixels could suggest an entire character, a few lines could become a landscape, and a handful of movements could create the feeling of a living world. The image did not reproduce reality - it invited the imagination to complete it.

The same happens here.

The glitches obscure parts of the image, but in doing so they create space for imagination. What is missing becomes as important as what remains. A distorted figure becomes a person. A few shapes become a room. A fragment of a screen becomes a memory. From very little, an entire world begins to emerge.

Glitch Spacefolk is a journey through the remains of a society that once lived inside a machine - a world reconstructed not from complete images, but from fragments, gaps and imagination.

This is where pixel art and glitch art converge, in the space between what is given and what the imagination creates...
