The work is entitled ‘SmokePlin’: it is a play on words combining ‘SmokePing’ (a monitoring tool that continuously tracks network latency) and Charles Chaplin, the iconic silent film actor.

The piece is a cyanotype. Cyanotype is an old photographic process that creates monochrome prints with a characteristic Prussian blue hue through exposure to sunlight; in my case, I used the light from a UV lamp.
