Yamil Burguener is a creative coder, digital artist, composer and teacher whose interactive installations and sound works have been presented across venues in Córdoba, Argentina.,,,His software-driven pieces translate movement, text and sound into real-time audiovisual systems, often built with custom code written in tools such as Max/MSP/Jitter.,
His 2009 installation Triple Felix, made with Agustina Angelino, Julieta Reyes, Oscar Godoy Leyes and Sergio Cuenca at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, used contact microphones, wireless accelerometers and quadraphonic sound alongside Max/MSP/Jitter programming to create interactive sound floors and objects.In 2012 he presented the performance Tu cabeza de pop at TEDx, using head movements captured by a webcam to generate digital graffiti and sound drawn from real-time internet image searches for terms including “immediacy” and “pop”.He adapted it into an installation shown at “CuatroCiencia” in Córdoba in 2013, alongside another of his works, Bitácora en Bit, which turns typed text into sound read by several simulated playback heads moving through the text at different speeds and directions.,
At MUVA in Unquillo, Córdoba, in 2014, he presented Multiplicar por Uno, an interactive installation made with Andrés Senn that used cameras, a projector and the room's own mirrors to multiply and reflect visitors' images.In the same year he installed Spill Musivum at MUVA, a motion-triggered sound composition blending recitations, prayers and chants from multiple religious and musical traditions, conceived as the second part of an earlier installation, Spill Over Ber, mounted at the former Spilinbergo school in 2010.
Alongside his installation work, Burguener records and performs as a composer and multi-instrumentalist, releasing albums including Calma Fun Machine and Mulittac, remixes, and a collection of electroacoustic and sound art pieces.,,
