SCGPhotographer is a photographer working under the name scgphotographer.eth, whose project World Colors authenticates his photography on the blockchain as independent, immutable NFTs. Four photography collections, encompassing over 7,000 individual NFTs, originated in 2022 after he began exploring decentralized authentication through blockchain and IPFS.
The four collections are Colors of Seville, six photographs taken on the streets of Seville, Spain; People & Moments Immortalized, unique one-of-one portraits with no further editions; Black & White Moments; and Light Painted Places. In his own description, the Light Painted Places images use composition, color, light and shadow to convey his impressions of a scene, while each print in Colors of Seville was issued in editions of up to 6,666 pieces.
Originally minted on Polygon for its low fees, the collections were migrated to Polygon zkEVM in March 2024 for greater long-term security, and then onto Ethereum's Layer 1 in February 2025 as the network's own upgrades made that direct deployment practical. He releases the work under a CC0 license and encourages collectors to keep their own copies of each NFT's metadata and image file, so the photographs can be authenticated independently of any single platform or IPFS pinning service.
