Rachel Suzanne Tien Wood is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist working across travel photography and AI imagery. Wood quit an office job and bought a camera in 2019, since traveling internationally to photograph places including a paleontology dig in Argentina, a solo expedition in Mongolia and a journey to Antarctica.
For an ongoing project called Terra Nova, Wood photographs places and moments described as ones that “won't exist tomorrow”. One work in the series, Litli-Hrutur Sunset, shows a landscape splitting open in red and orange through smoke, released via Gamma Prints in 2025.Wood also uses photography to raise funds for conservation and charity organizations, and is a patron to women in photography and BIPOC artists.
Wood is a member of the digital art collective TIMEPieces, on TIME magazine's NFT platform.In 2026 Wood contributed The First GM to The Memes, an edition of 310 minted in March, with the description “The first GM of 2020. Six years later, I am still here. Still creating. Still have skin in the game.”In 2024 Wood's work was selected for “100 Artists to Watch”, an open call juried by curators from institutions including the Museum of Modern Art and Christie's.,
