Kiszkiloszki is a self-taught Polish animator, musician, and self-described misanthrope who has made short films and viral GIFs since the early 2010s.In the series Art History Classes, he takes classical paintings by artists such as Francisco Goya, René Magritte, Vincent van Gogh, and Guido Reni off their pedestal with deliberate humor.
His artist name began as a placeholder: a nonsensical, made-up childhood word he put down when creating a Facebook page and Tumblr account for the GIFs and sketches that were already outpacing an art and culture blog he wrote in the early 2010s. By the next morning it had hundreds of followers, and it was too late to change. Some early Art History Classes animations were lost to a damaged hard drive, so for the 2025 exhibition “Lost Kiszkies” on objkt.one Gallery he reanimated them from scratch with digital collage and cut-out animation.
“My love for mankind, my depressions, and my fears are the real fuel for my art and creativity”, Kiszkiloszki has said, describing the misanthropy that runs through his work. Between 2023 and 2024 he went through a severe artistic burnout, and began making physical prints and stickers in his own studio as a form of therapy. He has been distributing digital and net-native art across multiple blockchains since 2020, and his next project, the animated Kiszkiloszki Universum, centers on a character called the Death Fairy.,
