Jardine Sage is a BAFTA-winning animation director, story artist, animator and designer based in Manchester, England. Over more than fourteen years in children's television, they have worked across the full production pipeline, from scripts and storyboarding to character design, animation and compositing. They have also held leadership roles, managing teams of more than twenty creatives.
Sage directed the second series of Milo, an animated preschool show for Channel 5's Milkshake in which a curious five-year-old cat role-plays different careers with his friends Lofty and Lark. They co-directed that series with Chris Capstick, after working as assistant director and animation director on the first fifty-two-episode series.Milo won the British Animation Award for preschool series in 2022.
For Treasure Champs, a CBeebies preschool series created by Three Arrows Media and animated at Flix Facilities, Sage worked on the pilot and concept design before taking on Animation Direction.They were also Lead Designer on Dog Loves Books, a fifty-two-episode CBeebies series.As director on the Share A Story series, Sage won the Children's BAFTA for short form in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017. As animator and designer on the CITV channel rebrand, they won a Cannes Lions Gold Award for best channel branding in 2013.
