GŁOWA is an audio-visual artist who works across music production, 2D and 3D animation, 3D modelling and procedural art. Based in Scotland, UK, he uses the connection between music and moving image to create cinematic work that explores light, dark, loneliness and connection through the human condition. His work has exhibited worldwide, including aboard the International Space Station.
His personal work often explores procedural systems reduced to simple building blocks.,Altered Forms re-envisions the primitive forms of 3D modelling — the cube, sphere, cylinder, icosphere, pyramid and torus — altering each in subtle ways. The accompanying music treats the sine wave, a pure tone, as the primitive of sound, shaping it with pitch, filter and reverb until it pulses and contorts. It was recorded from a long-form performance played on a Digitakt.A.R.O.M. pairs procedural music with procedural visuals. Synths built with Ableton Live's probability tools send MIDI data into TouchDesigner. There, note, velocity and ADSR information drive visuals that carry their own randomisation. Each run of the process produces a new piece, recorded once in real time. He minted A.R.O.M. on Ethereum in 2022 as the launch project for the PROPS PRIME smart contract.He has also released a debut album, Singular Moments in Time, exploring time, loneliness and connection.
DREA.ME, an animation incorporating the work of 50 artists, has exhibited in Tokyo, London and Hamar, and aboard the International Space Station. He held a solo exhibition of the collection 28 DAYS at Suburbs Gallery in Montreal. He has also made unique artwork for Infinite Objects' video prints, turning moving image into a physical, collectible object.His commissioned visual work includes launch visuals for Arcblock's DID: Spaces platform launch. He also created digital tokens for MONOLITH Gallery, headed by the co-creator of Google Earth. The tokens were used to grant access to events and were exhibited at Art Basel in Miami Beach.MONOLITH Gallery, one of the first SuperRare Spaces,gave GŁOWA a dedicated hall as part of its “Blue World” exhibition.The gallery also included his piece Stream, a black-and-white 3D animation paired with an original electronic score.
